Michael Watkins
Dr. Michael D. Watkins is a Co-founder of Genesis Advisers
Michael has spent the last two decades working with leaders – both corporate and public — as they transition to new roles, negotiate the future of their organizations, and craft their legacy as leaders.
He is the author of Your Next Move: The Leader’s Guide to Navigating Major Career Transitions and the international bestseller, The First 90 Days: Critical Success Strategies for New Leaders at all Levels, which The Economist called “the on-boarding bible.” With more than 400,000 copies sold in English, and translations in 27 languages, The First 90 Days has become the standard reference for leaders in transition and was recently named one of the best 100 business books of all time.
Shawna Slack
Shawna Slack is the Co-founder and Chairman of Genesis Advisers
As co-founder of the company, Shawna developed the marketing and business strategies as well as the operational infrastructure for Genesis Advisers. Today as Chairman she is responsible for strategy, business development, and strategic initiatives.
Before Genesis, Shawna was a principal at YankeeTek Ventures, a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based high-tech venture capital fund. At YankeeTek she identified new investment opportunities, negotiated investments and worked to support companies on board-level activities. Shawna focused on investments in software and new materials technologies.
Richard Wetzler
Rich Wetzler is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Genesis Advisers
Rich joined the Genesis Advisers team in 2016 as the President and Chief Operating Officer to manage day-to-day operations and drive growth across the company’s businesses. On July 1, 2017, he became President and CEO.
Prior to joining Genesis Advisers, Rich was the Chief Operating Officer of Pivot Leadership, a global leadership development company, which was acquired by Korn Ferry in 2015. He also held senior roles at LRN, Kroll, Oliver Wyman, and Mercer.
